As you may already know, Xenical is a full strength prescription based weight loss drug. There are many studies on Xenical, one of them was even over a four year period, which i think was the longest study ever on these types of drugs. But there are not so many studies on alli yet (a low dose version of Xenical), since it’s a very new non-presription weight loss pill and to this date there is only one study on alli reported (to my knowledge, not sure if this is true or not).
It lasted for four months and this was obviously enough for FDA to approve alli to be the first over the counter weight loss pill ever offered without prescription. Glaxosmithkline intends to conduct more studies on alli, but this study is now the only one i’ve heard of and there’s no other info about other potential studies.
In this four months long study, alli was found to be safe and ready to be offered to the market. Now many overweight individuals are using alli to help them with their weight loss efforts and many are reporting that it really does work, as long as you follow the guidelines and do it the right way.
